A personal note... |
Helping Erin with this website has been a very personal experience for me as we have practically brought you, our SCD friends, into our homes and our kitchens. Seeing the amazing results in Erin's health, I can't help but be motivated to share the good news about the SCD with you! I'm so excited about the normal life that Erin lives now and it breaks my heart to think of people not knowing about the SCD option! I at least want to make sure people understand that it's out there, if they want to do it! That's why I'm motivated to take pictures of food, design documents and always be working on new SCD recipes!
What I want to say is that I have something way better... something else with huge significance, that is also available to people who want it. It's even more life changing and more important than the SCD, but it's also kind of similar. It's spiritual health, spiritual wholeness, through knowing Jesus Christ. He offers us forgiveness of sins for all eternity! How could I not share that! It's so much bigger than getting your physical health back in this life! Whether we go through this life sick or well, we will all come to that place when this life is finished. What then? This is very personal for me but I want to tell you my little story. When I was a child I understood that God is holy and I am sinful. |
My mom explained that God came down to meet us, in perfect human form, and died for our sins. He came back to life so he could offer us forgiveness. He holds out the gift of eternity with him and forgiveness of all our sins but, like starting the SCD, we must reach out and actually take it. I reached out and took it by talking to God, as a little child, and asking him to wash away my sins and adopt me into his family.
Yes, he entered my life and I entered his family in a gentle and beautiful way and I believe he's the one who has inspired us to do this website! In learning more about God through his revelation, the Bible, I understand that he deeply loves people and cares about their eternal destiny, but he also cares about their physical, daily life. He made us, he created all our beautiful, flavorful food and knows intimately how our bodies work and what they need. Through history God has inspired his people to care about others; there are those who have built hospitals, cared for orphans, started schools, fed the hungry, and looked after the forgotten and despised of this world. God cares. He shows his concern through person to person contact. Would you please accept all the information, recipes, ideas and help as a gift from me and Erin, but also as a sign of God's love for you? That would make me very happy. Sincerely, Robin |
